The Manaus Carnival is one of the largest in the northern region, a mixture of the samba schools parade with the traditional costumes of the region, along with the carnival is held the Carnaboi which is a mixture of carnival rhythms with the boi-bumba of Parintins.

Between the months of April and May is held the Amazonas Opera Festival at the Teatro Amazonas
