Symbol of prosperity and richness living in the golden period of rubber. Its project was approved for construction in 1881
and this time the height of the Manaus lived the Rubber Cycle, it was one of the most prosperous cities in the world because
of the richness brought through the rubber.
For the construction of the theater were brought from Europe, several architects, painters,and builders. The hall has baroque features
and stands in the ceiling painting called "The Glorification of Fine Arts in the Amazon."
The Theatre has a wide diversity of environments, designed with different materials, hence it is considered an eclectic space.
It is without doubt the most important building in town, not only for their invaluable architectural value, but mainly for its
historical importance, is living proof of prosperity and wealth experienced in the heyday of the rubber.
